Gas Safe
The Gas Safe Register is the official registration scheme in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey for installers and maintenance engineers dealing with gas appliances. By law, all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. The Gas Safe Register can help keep you and your employees stay safe. The Gas Safe Register replaces the previous system run by CORGI as at 1 April 2009. Airflow is Gas Safe Registered number 206594 for Non Domestic LPG and Natural Gas installations. As Gas Safe registered engineers we have been checked to make sure we are competent and qualified to work safely and legally with gas installations.
As of July 2003, organisations in EU must follow the directives to protect employees from explosion risk in areas with an explosive atmosphere. The regulations apply to all equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres, whether electrical or mechanical, including protective systems. Airflow has a capacity to assemble products with components manufactured by third party suppliers who are ATEX registered. ATEX specification is undertaken on a project by project basis which would be contractually agreed and certified by an independent organisation. ATEX is available as non-standard specification upon request.
UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) Marking
UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with the applicable requirements for products sold within Great Britain.
UKCA marking became part of UK law on exit day, 31 January 2020, with the coming into force of The Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
Initial guidance regarding UKCA marking was originally published by the Government of the United Kingdom in 2019 ahead of a potential no-deal Brexit but subsequently withdrawn.
UKCA marking has become mandatory following the end of the Brexit transition period although until 1 January 2023 (an extended deadline, which was previously 1 January 2022), the CE mark is accepted as a valid alternative. The scope and procedures of the UKCA scheme will initially follow those for CE marking, but after 31 December 2020 the two schemes may diverge.
ISO 9001 Quality Management
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries. Airflow has been certified since 2001 with a registration number of 11148. The ISO 9001 inspection audit is undertaken by NQA who operate within UKAS standards to independently verify that our quality systems operate to the highest standards. As an organisation we perform internal audits to check how our quality management system is working.
