As of July 2003, organisations in EU must follow the directives to protect employees from explosion risk in areas with an explosive atmosphere. The regulations apply to all equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres, whether electrical or mechanical, including protective systems. Airflow has a capacity to assemble products with components manufactured by third party suppliers who are ATEX registered. ATEX specification is undertaken on a project by project basis which would be contractually agreed and certified by an independent organisation. ATEX is available as non-standard specification upon request.
CE marking or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1993. The letters 'CE' appear on many products that are traded on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA), consisting of the 27 member states of the EU and European Free Trade Association countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The CE marking is required for many products and attests the verification by a manufacturer that these products meet EU safety, health or environmental requirements. Airflow Products supply a range of products which are classified to a machinery directive CE conformity where the requirement is mandatory.
